Society completely lost the ability to sit and deeply think anything through anymore to the point people can’t see the value of undistracted thought. Just feed the ADHD the memes it needs.
Creating a device to track / lull the masses into checking out was a good trick. God forbid people be aware of their surroundings or risk engaging with other people / strangers.
