I did not, my gut feeling was that the only motive for telling me to PM him is that he wanted to get my email address and potentially ID as it supplies your email address for replies.
Harlem has a rough stigma. Like every neighborhood, some spots are good, and some are bad. Honestly I really like all of the Baptists style churches in the area. I`ve never seen anything like it in the South.
That is a great area. Weekends can be a bit noisy but otherwise for that price (if it is at least 350sq ft) I would jump on it. I live on the westside in the 20’s and studios in my neighborhood are starting at 2300-2400.
350 sq feet is a shoe box. You will be so trapped that you constantly feel the urge to go out, which inevitably leads to more spending. Might as well pay for something a bit bigger.
I guess you have never lived in New York or read the part that she only wants to spend 2K/month. Most studios are that size. I live in a one bedroom about 700 sq. ft and it is 3.5K/month.
take a look at LongIslandCity. It’s literally 1 subway stop (3.5min subway ride into Grand Central), brand new luxury buildings 700sq ft for 1 real bedroom for 2.5k a month.
Not to mention, you save another 3-5% of your gross salary by NOT living in Manhattan. So if you factor that into the calculation, it’s really say 2200 a month
I lived a few blocks south of here many years ago. Greenwich Village is definitely quieter than midtown and has a more relaxed vibe. The place looks super nice too!!
Dude, I’ve lived in Queens my entire life and get charged this tax. I have no idea what you’re talking about since Queens and Brooklyn are a part of NYC. I also believe Jersey residents get hit wih the city tax if they work in NYC.
