Bleh. Quick has been awesome and the Rangers PowerPlay has been bad. I had money on them for Game 2. I’m not betting anymore after that ref screwjob.
It has been a mediocre playoff for Quick so far, although he was solid last night. He is not even in the running for the Conn Smyth (Kopitar, Williams, Carter and Doughty are ahead of him).
It would have been the first sweep since 1998 if the Kings pulled it off.
In other news, some big names on the trading block this offseason: Joe Thornton, Jason Spezza, Kessler and possibly Malkin.
hahah fuck the rags kings are the champs. hearts of a champion right there. rags are pretenders
I pity the teams in the West that have to go through the Hawks and Kings the next few years.
Congrats to the LA Kings. They got plenty of help from the refs which led directly to goals. But alas, the refs affect the outcomes all too often in major league sports these days. Rangers got no help in the finals and still brought it to five OT’s. Well done I say.
what were u watching. the kings were clearly the better team
+1
Besides a few questionable calls in Game 2, the refs were a non factor.
Id rather watch paint dry than to watch hockey on tv. Live hockey on the other hand is a different story.
^^Eh? What abute the tripping call that led promptly to a power play goal in the final game? Tripping was initiated by a King, but Ranger went to the box. The announcers were all over it.
Take that goal away plus the goalie interference and now you’ve got a 3-2 series in favor of the Rangers.
Haters gonna hate. The Kings certainly dominated in some periods and ended up with the Cup. Congrats to them.
Bump. I was in the city (for two Faith No More shows) for the last Game 7 vs. the Capitals. If I wanted tix, I was told that I could get them from a big black guy in a suit on a corner across from Madison Square Garden for $700 each. Crazy. I kept to my original plans and went to the FNM show, which was Epic.
are caps gonna finally pull this off?
btw gotta love Canada
Caps are going to make it to the finals…but its the hawks year again
This year proves that Carey Price is the most valuable player and the biggest difference maker. The only player in the league where a team can go from the best record and Stanley Cup contender when he is in the lineup to a lottery team and worse team in the league when he is not.
are the caps the best lockdown chokers of this generation?
This is spot on. I watch maybe 15 minutes total of the regular season but once the playoffs start I am hooked. Once you eliminate the shootout it gets so nuts.
Both early games last night looked like blowouts and both wound up going to sudden death OT. D.C. sports are cursed. Bruins probably can’t overcome the fact that they’re missing so many guys on D. Karlsson is a beast.
Caps bros
Are the Habs the biggest lockdown dirtiest team in the NHL? They suck the big one.
