Poll: Ultimate Asian nerd country

I lol’d.

Wow. No love for the Hermit Kingdom.

Korean barbeque is the bomb though.

I like Korean bimbimbab

I don’t think the thread is racist.

Since we’re making generalizations I’d like to point out that Aussies are amazingly racist. Terrifically fun people though. Fun, drunk and racist.

^ I don’t have much objection on that one. I like Europeans better. cool

Maybe some people think this thread is being racist towards Asians, but Asians are awesomely racist themselves. All of them (us). We are racist towards ourselves even. We are racist towards any skin colour darker than ourselves. Chinese are racist. Japanese are racist. Just because we look quiet, reserved, shy, small or nerdy doesn’t mean we are not evil inside. devil (yep we are making generalizations here and there’s nothing wrong with that)

I have heard that Austrialisans are like ’ the Irish under a sun’…in the sense that they drink like the Irish but in a warmer climate.

I am not racist.

I like HCBs of all colors.

Very true , Irish on the beach xD

racist as hell.

europeans talking about societal pressure on women in korea to be beautiful?wtf

Love bimbimbab. You need to try it with Salmon sashimi.

A good friend of mine is half Korean and he’s definitely moody as all hell and an alcoholic. He’s a chick magnet though. There’s just something about mixing white and Asian blood. I definitely notice when it’s the other gender. wink

Now there are 3 votes for this thread being racist.

I think it’s anti-racist, so your total is reduced to 2 votes now.

Asian cuisine tops the list !

Surprised to see kimchi up there so high. Smells like someone’s arm pit and tears your insides apart. But it’s addictive and you can’t stop eating it. The likely source of Korean madness IMO. Photobucket

Pho definitely deserves to be up there. I have it at least once a week. Also addictive but likely from the massive amounts of MSG they put in it. That’s why most Pho restaurants sell super strong sweet coffee to wake you out of the MSG high.

Kimchi and pho are nothing compared to the millions of different types of real Chinese food from within china (not American Chinese; not Australian Chinese – they are lame as hell)

Kimchi is just like the marinated cabbage and other veggies in china… We make it at home there

pho is just beef noodles…

However, when I’m overseas, I do like both kimchi and pho. (I also like pizza, sushi, laksa, and food in general)

Suggest watching “a bite of china” xD

Not to be even more racist, but the Chinese food my Chinese colleagues ate in China when I was there was poor people’s food. I have no doubt that Beijing or southern China has great food, but I was in Xi’an. A lot of fried dough, heavy use of red chile peppers and peppercorn, pig blood (which looks and tastes like scabs). Not a very elegant or complex cuisine, not even close to French, Italian, Japanese, Indian or Moroccan, to name a few. And this was in good restaurants as well as from street vendors. Thanks God for KFC, even though getting fish sticks instead of French fries was a little weird.

So Kimchi and pho are something compared to some part of the million Chinese dishes - they can’t all be good.

I down kimchi hardcore whenever it’s available with sticky rice. I wish I didn’t read the internet at this time of night and read this at 1:26am est. … because now I really want to get kimchi, and I think up on W76th West side market might have some… they probably do… but these days, don’t like going out after midnight… because creeped out people are crawling out everywhere these days… i should just go to sleep…

haha… my mouth/saliva just tweeked because I pictured myself eating Kimchi…

ahhh!

I think at its best chinese cuisine is better than korean but on average, korean food maybe more palatable

nom nom nom

Chinese population – 1.34 billion

Korean population – 50 million

Looking at the numbers, you’re probably right.

But it’s interesting that such a small country makes such a big impact on the world - not talking about food.

England is also not very big.

I’m not going to debate Chinese food vs others anymore if nobody has actually eaten within china in different provinces. In fact Chinese is at its best when it’s cooked at home. Or small street stalls. Small restaurants. Not talking about those expensive restaurant fancy things. I miss my dad’s cooking so much T_T
