Hi All,
Firstly, I would like to congratulate everyone who cleared the final level. You’ll deserve it. This is my first post on AF as I am just a passive participant and never found the need to post anything. However, this time I find it necessary. Like everyone I got my results today and unfortunately I got a band 10. I had always believed in the grading system of the CFA institute and never had any doubts until now.In the AM., usually if you are able to perform reasonably well in the Portfolio Mgmt individual and institutional section and in the PM get 70’s in most, then you should pass. Below is my result. I am unable to understand why its a fail. I am not disputing the assesment, but then the result has left me stumped and clueless. I have come across candidated with worse range of acores who have cleared ( I am not complaining, just a sample size to put forth my point). Even if you consider my scores at the lower end of the ranges,I dont think it should be a fail. I am not going to retabulate its coz its of no use. But then, I am forced to demand for more transparency in the grading system. A result should clearly state reasons for failure. Sadly, I am not able to do that in this case.
Nonetheless, the one’s who cleared sorry for spoiling the party. This is my first and last post here. No more CFA for me.
