These are two different cohorts of Russians. I’m afraid I’m not in a position to draw valid comparisons as representatives of both cohorts are here and saying good things about one of them will automatically convert them into bad things about the other. Hope you understand.

I’d add there are two types of Russian immigrants in US:
Those that prefer to only socialize with each other, because other cultures are not worthy of their time or whatever. Often come off as racists imo. Take for granted what US gave them…
Those who try to learn about American and other (in NYC at least) cultures and prefer to hang out with international crowd. Those are able to appreciate other cultures’ traditions, histirical background, arts, food etc
Very different crowds I must say. The first one blame the second one for not keeping up with Russian roots, which is not true.

Oh crazy story about this russian girl that I had finance classes with in undergrad- she used to hit me up on the reg and I should’ve taken advantage, but I didnt I could tell she was crazy just by the weird pics she’d post of herself on social media sites, but her body was so tight it was unreal.
Fast forward like 4 years and I get an email from her, well her email was hacked anyways, and sent out these pics she took from a “modeling” audition she did, I believe it was like an open casting for playboy. Also, she is now super skinny, like annarecxic (sp?). Somethin’sg def not right in her head.
