That they get along relatively better in some places does not mean the pattern of them not getting along does not exist.

It’s been a long ugly history, I prefer to just accept reality. Interestingly, that acceptance can lead to transcendence, which can lead to things getting along better. Not sure the American denial thing is working.

LOL.

The current state of bigotry is basically anti-bigotry, so there is a strong force pushing people to demonstrate they should not be the target of such.

It’s just that if people get along for a long period of time, you assume they must be from the same tribe.

Most communities larger than a family or perhaps a neighborhood are simply imagined communities in the first place. There is no real tribe, except for that which you invent in your mind based on frequently arbitrary criteria. And if it can be invented, it can be reinvented.

^ Right, that is the situation.

Though there are some genetic differences between the tribes, most of the differences are imagined. But imagined differences are as good as real differences. And true, we really only evolved cooperation at the tribe level (small groups, say three families), more than that is an imagined connection! So yeah, if it is all imagined, it would seem logical that we could just reinvent things, make up new rules. That seems smart, and the USA believes. I just point out it isn’t working. We always come back to our instincts ( not invented by us, but by nature/evolution), our tribal nature, we imagine these differences exist, so they do.

Look at this Carnie putting in work on that wannabe gang banger.

Delta Fair spokesman Mark Lovell told TheBlaze in an interview that Sunday’s incident was “very minor” and started as a result of the patrons being angry that the employee was moving too slowly for them. ”Basically, we had four or five angry at the ride operator,” Lovell said. “They started hollering and yelling and what not.”

^ some people have no damn sense. Even if they jumped the barrier and beat the guy, what’s that accomplish.

The crazy thing is they were upset that the ride line was too slow. The irony is, when they got on the ride (which is an awesome ride), they’d be complaining about the ride time being too short. Some people just can’t be pleased.

Reminds me of once attending FrightFest at Six Flags Great America. Never again.

^ do tell.

Thugs overran the place. A group of about 50 full grown adults jumped the barricades to get into the big haunted house because “the lines were too long.” There were too many for even security to kick them out. I was trying to help security single them out. One guy kept saying, “I was with the group, I was with the group.” When the officer said, “You mean the group that jumped the barricades and cut the line?” then the man said, “I ain’t wit no group.” That, at least, made me and my friends laugh.

Even kids were blantanty barging in front of the food lines. No respect whatsoever. Real lack of parenting.

Respect.
