The premise here is that he had to actually travel to Asia to be influenced by “Eastern beliefs”. People back then traded goods and stuff. Stories about eastern gods could have easily been transmitted along with the goods.
Same with buddhism the doctrine/teachings of buddha werent written until several hundred years after his death.
Thats why its hard to take any religion literally
