I figured you were going to pass for sure! I bascially told all my study buddies to follow you on AF because you knew your stuff? What do think failed you?

It really depends on your goals and where you are in your life and career. If you have family and kids it is a different story (remember you have a short window to enjoy your family accompany). But if you are single and you have no better use of your time, and you had a clear reason why you wanted to take CFA at first place, then I would strongly recommend you to give it another shot.
I like this post, very level headed view of what’s important. If you’ve got little kids and you spend 300 hours studying that is 300 hours less with your kids that you won’t get back. Unless you need it for your career it might not be worth it. But if you don’t have a family and have the time then I feel like it’s hard to walk away knowing you’ve already learned all of the concepts, you just need to refine what you already know so I’d give it another shot.
I’ve decided to give it a third try as well (band 9 two years in a row). After I got the fail email I thought there is no way I am going to do this again, but now I think I am still a couple years away from having kids and I’ve already put in so much time and money into this that I have to give it one more shot or I may regret it later in life. I know someone that took level 2 four times before passing then passed level 3 on their first try. That is my biggest fear is that even if I pass level 2 this time around I will spend another 2 or 3 years on level 3 and by then I will have kids and not want to complete it
My biggest change this year is I’m going to review the material weekly starting in September and then in January I am going straight into mocks. I will literally do 20 of them and do every BB and EOC 5 times over if I have to
Cool man, I am really happy to hear you decided to do it again. I read your posts and I am sure it is painful to fail band 9 twice in a row. Just remember you do not have to start super early rather you have to put more time as you get closer to exam. If you have a full time job definitely get at least last week off (or if you can get last two weeks off). Good luck in 2016!

people didnt decide for you whether or not to get into the program and they sure should not be deciding for you on whether you quit or not ! nothing wrong with taking a couple years off , i did that and it worked wonders !
I wouldn’t. Could you inagine sitting the exams at age 85? Course at least i’d be retired and could study full time.
