mo if you are so pissed that you didnt ace it because it was YOUR own personal goal, then why tell people on the forum that you are pissed? if its YOUR goal…keep it to yourself and just let people know you passed. i dont think you are arrogant or on an ego trip though and i dont think you deserved as harsh of criticism that you received, but this is a day where way a majority of people failed (56%) and it isnt very considerate. all i know is if i were you, i would not be anywhere near this forum. i would be out celebrating

Can someone just delete this kid’s post…totally arrogant and innappropriate on results day…Kind of tired of seeing him/her trying to make excuses as to why they are a hammahead…I guess some people are just born that way
I know many of you will not agree with the following but I have said this befoire and will say it again today: CFA exams on a scale of 1-10 are prolly a 6 in difficulty. You need a lot more than just the CFA ceredential to first land a good job and then to do a good job. In all honesty if I was intervieweing someone and they tried to tell me how they scored on each exam, I will not hire them citing immaturity. CFA exams are not tough in my humble opinion. I am also an actuary and the acturaial exams ere far tougher and rigorous than the CFA exams.
I agree w/ you comp_sci_kid. I understand mo34’s feeling given his latter post: “worked two hours every morning (4:30 - 6:30 a.m) from September to June” Hey, if you sets your sight on all >70% and actually put in the work^^ then its cool to be a bit disappointed. Its not like he’s saying he studies a month before the exam and it sucks he didn’t get a perfect score. Thats A LOT of time. I would venture to say that that 99% of ppl who did not get their desired result today cannot say they studied this consistently for this long.
folks - go easy on mo34. the guy deserves his moment of glory / disappointment. don’t take it so personally. he’s just venting - don’t jump him for that.
comp_sci_kid Wrote: > I believe everyone can achieve anything if they > try hard enough. Do you? To be honest, I don’t think I can win 8 gold medals even if I move in gym…
mo34, you have all my respect. Compared to you, I am such a speculator, given that I only studied 4 weeks for level 3. I also constantly complained to my husband how CFA study made my life miserable so he would feel bad and cook. I would be happy passing it with just minimal score possible. akanska Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I agree w/ you comp_sci_kid. > > I understand mo34’s feeling given his latter post: > > “worked two hours every morning (4:30 - 6:30 a.m) > from September to June” > > Hey, if you sets your sight on all >70% and > actually put in the work^^ then its cool to be a > bit disappointed. mo is ridiculous. complaining about how you didn’t ace the damm thing? did you complain about the fact you never got a full scholarship to Cambridge to study physics or mathematics at MIT? if you aced everything (100%) in college you probably could have. you say you want a challenge, and acing the CFA would definitely do it. But seriously, trying to ace the CFA is absurd as your scores are not fully revealed. i can see why people would get pissed because your post says “So pissed off” on the day the results came out when in fact your post is a petty attempt to pat yourself on the back. i remember kids like you in High School…“oh man, i only got a 98%!!!, my life is over”
FrankArabia, there is no need to get upset. mo has his own goal, and is free to express his disappointment. What’s wrong with that?
FrankArabia’s got it right. Mo could probably be a bit more sensitive. He is *free* to express his disappointment at his extremely high scores in the way that he’s free to fart in an elevator. It doesn’t actually hurt anyone but he’s the only one who receives gratification and it’s kinda nauseating for those of us who have a few more floors to travel…

This has to be the post of the day. +1 FrankArabia, what have you been up to these days? Haven’t heard from you in a while.
you guys dont understand where mo34 is coming from. Look the guy was up at 4:30 to 6:30 studying this thing. he EARNED this. He worked really really hard. He deserves the praise and a bit of arrogance
I agree, CSK, if Phelps didn’t earn the 8th gold medal he would be disappointed while the rest would be like, u kidding me, you already won 7 gold medals
yeah, did u see phelps after butterfly win? he was pissed cause water got into his glasses and he couldnt set a faster WR
^ difference is Gold medals are something you get public recognition for. Where as detailed CFA scores are absolutely meaningless.

CSK i’ve read enough of your posts to see that you’re a bit arrogant yourself. you’re not the most positive poster in this forum. “All this work … and come up with nothing … stupid FI question in the AM.” talk about drama queen!
