Slash, granted, i am a bit of arrogant myself. I know this, but if you look at my post count, you will realize that i helped a lot of people. P.S. Trust me, you are not the first one who tells me this (a lot of people do and i am working on it)
i’m by no means discrediting his effort. But i’m discrediting his ability to understand others, which is just as important if not more important then being able to do a few calculations. people who are successful know how to work with people. he is basically going to the ghetto and saying…“man, i only make 200k a year. this sucks. i was really hoping to make 1 million”. yes his effort was tremendous and i woudn’t be able to do that on my best day. But i can tell you, had i failed and you said that in front of me, i would’ve embarassed myself. if you want proof, just go to someone in real life and say that to them and see how much respect you get. i’m out. good luck to those doing it again. i admire your courage. Failing and doing it again is probably harder then passing the exam. Nobody cares if you lost your first fight, its your last effort that leaves a lasting impression.
Yes, I did see. His facial expressions are just unbeatable, or at least on TV. He used to work in a lab at UM, not sure about now. He looked totally normal, an average dude. comp_sci_kid Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > yeah, did u see phelps after butterfly win? he was > pissed cause water got into his glasses and he > couldnt set a faster WR
Glad I don’t work with MoFo’olish34. The thread’s brought out more haters than I’ve ever seen before.
Guys, just let this thread go away please. I apologize for the timing of this thread, I understand what you’re all saying. I was disappointed with my results as I came so close to what I had set as my goal all year long, and that’s probably why I did not think this through before posting it. I should have waited a couple of days maybe before posting here. As far as bragging or anything like that, it’s just not my personality. I have many times expressed my opinion as far as "people happy to go “3/3” and the “fake 3/3 post” … etc. and people here know that I never posted a score on a Sample test or mock or Shweser or whatever. I am not interested in impressing anyone here and as I said before I don’t think that completing this program is an achievement as of itself, and what really counts is what you do with it. I had an excellent experience at AF and I don’t think if it as a “gheto” like Frank said, I think of it as a place where the elite of the CFA program gather, and simply look at the pass rate here versus the pass rate for the overall population; and yes Frank, I was pissed too for not getting a scholarship at Caltech. Again, I apologize if I have offended anyone here, and best of luck to all of you.
mo are you going to stick around?
I do believe mo34 has appologized enough now. We should all just let this thread pass by. Don’t start ganging up on one person now. He has already explained his point of view and applogized for not thinking through before posting this thread.
guys cut mo some slack. he is F’in pissed off. He must be pounding his head against the wall with frustration. I mean imagine letting down all the people that care about you. I bet Mo would give anything to take the exam again next year, so that he can reach his goal, just like the people that failed will have to do. Right Mo? It is ok mo, we all fail sometimes in life. crush nattys and make it rain…
Man, I had it bad on the weekend with my email to CFAI…btw, I haven’t received a response. Give it a break guys. The guy has apologized a couple times now. We’ve all done things we wish we could take back. He’s guilty of nothing other than bad timing, and has admitted as much. I personally believe he’s been a good contributor to AF the last couple years. I failed, was originally a little offended when I seen the post, but again understand where he’s coming from. He’s apologized, get over it, move on.
oops. Sorry, Mo. Didn’t see how long this thread had got before I stuck the boot in. Was a bit harsh perhaps. Well done. Best of luck.
sheesh. talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. i guess just bad timing, mo34. today, everyone would have been on edge.
