Says who? According to the Turks the jet crossed straight through a 4km piece of Turkey. Travelling at 1,500kph, that’s 10 seconds at most. The radar analysis provided by Turkey supports this. Turkeys radar analysis also shows the path of its F-16s that intercepted the Russian plane, so whether air to air or surface to air seems to be questionable.
