Both the dems/repubs are flat out widening wealth inequality on purpose; Reagan duh, Bush subprime scam, Obama QE/ZIRP/Healthcare-scam, Trump tax plan scam. I suspect that is because the USG is captive of corporations and no other action is permitted, they just get outplayed and overpowered. Bernie/Bannon anti-corporatist types are eliminated by the corporate-media. Pro-corporatists like Hillary are favored. High-risk unknowns like Trump get assimilated.
