lol I would not pay a $ for it. It’s still in the process of quality control so it would be awful to change from pass to fail (good for the reverse side tho). Folks we spent a lot of time preparing and the final 2 weeks should be ok.
CFA website, weeks 8-10:
Level I and II exam results are released by email and available on the CFA Institute website. Level III grading and quality-control processes ensure that scores are captured correctly in the computerized systems. Approximately ten weeks post exam day, Level III results are released.
Wish I have seen this thread earlier so I don’t need to be panic for another two weeks…
Are you kidding? I’d pay $1,000 to know today - oh wait, I already paid them at least that much this year
Update from CFA website:
Important Update
We apologize to all CFA Program Level III candidates who briefly had access today to preliminary and unconfirmed June 2015 exam results. The results, scheduled to be released on 11 August, were mistakenly made available in candidates’ CFA Institute online accounts for approximately one hour. Fewer than 100 Level III candidates – or 0.4% – accessed their own preliminary and unconfirmed results. Final results will be available to Level III candidates on 11 August as planned (detailed June Results Timeline PDF). Exam results are still undergoing quality review procedures, which are requisite for protecting the integrity of exam results. We take very seriously our commitment to candidates; we sincerely regret this error and look forward to releasing results as scheduled.
Man you are having some major issues… Could be a cultural thing though ))
Sorry if this was asked, but did it say the pass rate?
Sorry to hear you did not pass (let’s hope you actually did though with the offical results). Never give up.
Can you please go to Candidate Resources, and check on the right hand side under “Your exam results”, and tell us if it it says “Receiving your charter”? Thanks a lot.
Exactly.
^ I think they are double and triple-checking to see that everything was input correctly. The people that input this stuff are humans, or programs designed by humans, and we make mistakes. I’m sure they need to crosscheck the data/results for other reasons, too.
It does really suck waiting ten weeks to get your results. It’s particularly painful after colleagues received their L1 and L2 results. Inevitably people ask you if you passed and you have to explain to them it’s another two weeks for L3. I was getting by for a while just fine, but yesterday brought CFA results to the forefront. I’m ready to know now. Ten weeks is a very long time to wait for results.
My feelings exactly, I was cruising along no problem until yesterday seeing the lvl 1 & 2 results threads. That’s when anxiety set in.
Well guess it’s time for CFAI to rethink releasing all 3 results at the same time, so everybody who prepares for L3 has the same amount of time (even though 2 weeks are immaterial for the purpose of study) and the same human errors could be mitigated as well.
yup… i was doing just fine, enjoying life to the fullest… that is until this early release nonsense… F#&@!
Was the apology email sent to everyone?
^ i got it.
The one question that remains is why 100 people were checking their results prematurely. What were you expecting if you did not know about the leak?

Good question… maybe it happened before and nobody knew about it

^Yes, but I don’t think it means anything.
Regarding the ~100 people, I think this thread is responsible for many of them.
Yes, but it doesn’t look out of place to me…
