Moderating a forum is hard when it is a democratic system, which AF seems to be. I’ve worked both in a democratic mod setting and more command and control mods. The latter really gets the job done.
For example - while I like Turd, he is the exact kind of person that I’ve seen destroy forums before - and in democratic systems, posters like him constantly operate in the gray area. But those posters bring down the rest of the forum via network effects that are often under appreciated. Seems the solution to these issues is just to hide the Watercooler from site traffic though. Guess that is a way to admit defeat lol
