Good luck everyone, Try not to stress out too much. This can be made worse by the number of on line enquiries for results. I could not get in for 45 mins when level 1 results came out, obviously this pushed stress levels through the roof. It’s almost worth going into a meeting at 9.00am ET, 14.00gmt and finding your fate out afterwards. See you in the hell that is level 2!
Perdition, did you have difficulty getting results for June or December exam before? I ask because there are only Level 1 candidates getting results in December. I would hope if they even remotely attempted to provide enough scale for June that they’d sail through with no problems in December. If I can’t get my results right at 9 AM I may poop my pants.
Jan 2009…I only posted this as, at the time it stressed me more than the exam (well close!)…There are still 10’s of thousands of candidates who need results at the same time…Good luck.
100 minutes…
…trying to remember what kept me so calm before and during the exam… oh yah…meditation, turning the results over to a Higher Power and Michael Franti’s song “Say Hey” stuck in my head…especially the phrase “It seems like everywhere I go, the more I see the less I know…” It also didn’t hurt that my grandfather’s name was in the second question on the test, as in “so-and-so (insert my grandfather’s name), a CFA working for…blah, blah, blah”. Felt like he had my back! All the best!
Interesting, my niece was also a CFA charterholder in the exam.
Just a note: Keep in mind that CFAI servers are attacked by all the candidates simultaneously at 9:00 AM EST so you might NOT be able to see your result for like 30 minutes. Happened to me in level 1, 2 and 3 ! You might get lucky though!
Last one Hour to go.
Exactly 60 more minutes!
Even though I passed L1 in Dec 07 I can’t resist the temptation to spend some time here with you now. Still remember my emotions and excitement. Good luck everyone! Enjoy if you pass and start studying asap if you dont
jblamb - thanks for the reminder, no such thing as a CFA, only a CFA charterholder. How soon we forget such details when attempting brevity!
Best of luck to everyone…the final 30 minutes to go…errrhhhh…Hope I can pass 2!!
Any sailors in here? Feel like I’m tacking back and forth trying to perfectly time my arrival at the starting line for the big regatta. Race starts at nine - hope I don’t DQ.
I had created this forum to discuss regarding Level 1. We are kick starting all discussions over Skype/Google Wave coming Sunday onwards. Feel free to join the group at http://groups.google.com/group/charteredfinancialanalyst
