The hardest test you'll ever take, really?

Ok maybe it wasn’t sarcastic. 95% at L1/L2? Damn.

Throwing my hat in the “breadth ring”. Definitely seen more difficult subject matter but it was always more narrowly focused and easier to cram for in a short amount of time.

also its hard to game the cfa exams like it was college tests

For the record, I’m not saying there aren’t many harder exams out there or that other industry exams aren’t harder. Most STEM grad programs will routinely have harder tests. I’m just saying on an undergrad level it stacks up well against *most* exams at *most* schools.

Itera is going to have an aneurysm hearing what she says at the 3:30ish mark. Eeeek.

Also I can’t wait for tomorrow’s L3 tips!!!

yeah itera, resume is going to the TOP of the pile

Paternity test.

Common aptitude test.

I have a hard time believing that a college final – any final at the undergrad level (or masters level, for that matter – demands 300 hours of study. If they did, nobody would graduate college. They would have to study 24/7 for two weeks just to pass the test. Multiply that by five classes and…

Remember too that the question was “what was the hardest exam”, not “what material was the most complex”. Sure, “abstract topological methods in applied fluid mechanics” is probably more complex. But I think I would consider that exam easier (if I were trained in such a thing) than the CFA exam. I hope that exam (just the exam by itself–not everything leading up to it) doesn’t require ~1,000 hours of my time to study for.

CFA levelone exam was literally very easy. I did it with 4 MBA courses and 20 hour part time job.

I believe no fap is the hardest test.

^ indeed sir and results are far better than other tests. No joke.

I think Sir Isaac Newton performed the best on the no fap test

I’d disagree with the assertion that most STEM undergrad tests are harder. The programs are harder, but any one individual exam? No. Maybe a couple, maybe. But this is a tough test. How many undergrad courses require 300+ hours of study? How many single exams? Not many, if any. PhD candidacy exams would be tougher I’d think, just in that you need to demonstrate knowledge of much of the literature, most Charter holders have no knowledge or interest in the literature. Overall, I’d still say it’s one of the hardest programs out there though. The material alone? No. But the self study nature, the timing of exams and the pressure of one big test all make it difficult. Few programs only see 20% succeed. I won’t go as far as saying the CFA program is the hardest, but 95% of people lack the skill or ability to do it IMO.

Personally, the level 3 exam was exponentially more difficult than the L2 exam, and the most difficult test I’ve ever taken. Still can’t believe I passed. In regards to the statement “the hardest exam you’ll ever take.” It might not be as inaccurate as some are making it out to be. It’s likely that the overwhelming majority of people who take the CFA exams don’t subject themselves to the actuary exams, or the MCAT, or whatever extremely difficult test you can think of. Just because there are more difficult exams out there doesn’t mean CFA candidates/charterholders are going to be taking them. Hence, it’s very likely that for the average CFA test taker, L2 or L3 will be the most difficult exam they ever take.

My son’s G&T test for Kindergarden was harder
