CFAHalifax, I think you’re on to something. It was a little bit like a conspiracy that was planned to unfold over a U.S. holiday weekend. Don’t ask me how & why exactly but … there was something not quite right about this selloff. A good rogue trader story is icing.
Yeah, well I am definetly not saying I know anything definitive, I am just calling it from how I see it. Normally the slower growth, smaller European market, being sandwhiced (in terms of time zones, trading) between high growth Asia and the massive American market usually is not too volatile and doesn’t so much lead the market as much as follow. That’s just something I have observed mind you, I’m definetly no histroical expert. It just seemed odd on Monday and yesterday in particular when it was definetly leading.
