Chelsea will be good but they’re far from favorites. Diego Costa is Torres 2.0 imo. Cesc is a good step up from Oscar. Luis Filipe should also help.
I think it’s Man City’s title to lose. Yaya coming back is key. The squad is just too stacked.
I’m curious to see how Arsenal plays. Lots of positive additions but I agree that the game may have passed Wenger by. Hope they can pull of the impossible and win it all. At least win the Community Shield.
^Who do you pull for? I think Wenger is good, I just think his talent selection has failed which I think is the reason for their decline. It seems Arsenal has a gaggle of mediocre players in midfield…
community shield on the 10th, proper season on the 16th.
Man U fans are already pissing me off, most of them are writing off every other team. that luke shaw fee was crazy, I think LVG would give him back if he could now that he’s seen him.
Everton might push on this year if they can get another couple of good signings and beef out the squad. Moyes must be fuming at the Lukaku fee given that he managed them on such a tight budget for so long, now they’re spunking that kind of money?
Can Pocchetino repeat his success at Spurs? slightly worrying that they’ve not done much business so far, maybe they’re hoping to get the best out of last years band of overpriced euroflops.
Liverpool will do a Spurs from last year I reckon, a lot of their hope rests on whether Sturridge can keep up last seasons form, Lambert’s not exactly likely to hit double figures, Origis back on loan to Lille and has world cup wonder flop written all over him, and they’ve hardly got many others that will chip in and replace the 30 goals from the evil gerbil.
Liverpool is building for the long term, and they’ve made a number of good buys like Emre Can and Origi and are trying to lock up Manquillo and Moreno. THey should be good for a number of years, if not this season.
I think the team to watch this year is Tottenham, they’ve got a good coach for the first time in years, a talented squad - Lamela and Soldado are going to kick ass.
Interesting formation. Busquets IMO is a natural attacking player, and with Masche sitting deep they can really use him to build up the passing and take his game to the next level. Although I would think he would use two natural wide players like Alba and Montoya rather than putting forwards like Neymar and Pedro there…but who knows…he’s the boss for a reason I guess.
