Too late to start with CFAI?

If you do only Schweser readings, at least do the practice questions and blue boxes in the curriculum.

Honestly, I don’t know how people use only the curriculum. They must have an undergrad in finance or MBA in finance, or 4th time taking the test, so most of it is review.

Becuase without one of those, its nearly impossible for me to see what’s important and not important in the curriculum from using CFAI.

Seriously … right?

Schweser has experts who’ve reviewed the past 20 years of test, and the more recent tests, and experts have read the material. Thousands of people use it each year.

Schweser has got to be the way to go! I think tonight I’ve decided to go with Schweser…and as FT suggested do the BB and EOC questions in both Schweser and CFAI. Where I’m totally lost in the questions or BB examples, then I’ll revert back to CFAI.

But my studies have come to a grinding halt in the capital markets section when they started talking about time series, multi factor regression, variance, covariance. They lightly touch on issues, then drop huge formulas. Which quickly promps a WTF from me, and I question how much of this I have to know.

As everybody says, I’ve got to get to practicing problems, test questions, reviewing, and memorizing sooner than later. If I don’t finish the CFAI by early APR I’m going to be hosed regardless of which curriculum I read.

Bye Bye CFAI, hello my old friend Schweser.

True true very true. In fact with CFAI , you almost fall in love with and forget that you have an exam to clear!

vsowers…do you suggest I keep plugging away with the CFAI?

I am retaker and used schweser last year.

yes keep plugging away.
