Silence of the Lambs - The meeting between the senator and Hannibal. The way in which Hopkins communicated just with his eyes. Fascinating. Very moving. Hes in such command of the situation even though he’s the one whos all restrained.
Saving private Ryan - the D Day invasion scene
2001 a Space Odyssey - several. If I had to choose one which I felt to be particularly fascinating, I’d say possibly the scenes with the blue Danube waltz. Very ahead of its time. Great. Everything so minimalist and elegant.
Airplane - several scenes. Not sure I could pick a particular one, they’re all great. The scenes with the ridiculous gay guy were particularly hilarious to me, though.
Jiro dreams of Sushi - I loved the scene in which Jiro’s protege described his process of having to spend years just making rice, and then how he made so many egg sushi before one was being accepted. Really captured the essence of their pursuit.
Batman Begins - not necessarily a GREAT movie, but the training scenes of Bruce Wayne really spoke to me. I watched that movie way too many times.
No Country for Old Men - the coin flip scene. What acting.
Deer hunter - the russian roullette scene
