Trump Wins!

those situations were not a matter of offense but stopping hateful acts. saying the N word is hateful. trump is hateful. hate is intolerable. prejudice is intolerable.

Sorry to burst your bubble, butt female bare breasts are essentially “banned” in most places. As much as I would like to see topless women walking around in New York (or even in these purported utopian freedom cities in Canada), doing so is considered deviant behavior. Do you want your mom walking around in a crowd with no shirt? Why don’t you come down to reality for a bit.

^^ Matt: Again, that’s your Canadianism. I actually side with Trump on the protestors and free speech issues. It’s a free country, let him make his case and the voters can decide on it. That’s what a free society does. And folks have the freedom to slag Trump and make an alternative case. Trump would be an awful President I think for Americans and almost certainly for the world. But he has every right to put forward his nonsense. I would never support censoring him.

MLA is a typical left wing fascist. They demand freedom but only the ones they say are ok (based on mob rule and completely devoid of rational criteria).

Canadians have less freedoms than you do. We have freedoms in the proper good governance U.K. sort of way. See Matt’s justification on silencing Trump. So this is probably illegal in Canada but the police wouldn’t charge you, you just get told to cover up in a passive aggressive way and then immediately apologise and put your parka back on.

this argument should be left to individuals who (1) have breasts and (2) have a newborn wanting to be fed by said breasts. All others can only assume what the predicament is actually like.

you have to think of an equally off-putting comparison for men. one where a man is required to do something somewhat socially awkward, but natural in it’s own regard, to pacify another human.

“hate” is a subjective interpretation akin to “offense”. what should actually be policed are definable actions of dicscrimination or violence. Saying you are offended or “feel” hate, is not valid.

Why do breastfeeding defenders act like it is so hard to go to the restroom or a private area? Parents dont seem to have trouble changing babies’ diapers in a private place. do the same thing with the breastfeeding. It’s just lazy parenting

I agree with you to a certain degree. this lazy parenting may just be tired parents from trying to juggle too many things and dealing with their new responsibilities. If you, as a woman (visualize here) had a kid that needed to be fed quite often and youre tired AF because you’ve barely slept and are just trying to get through the day, you might just want to whip out the boob and let the little one have a go.

its a zero fucks given mentality, and to a certain degree, should be respected.

on the other hand, if you have a parent that feels like its their right to whip out the boob because they of this ‘right’ or that ‘right’, then it gets ridiculous.

I don’t even know if Trump is proposing some sort of law against breastfeeding. My point is that nudity is not considered ok in most places, except in Matt’s imagination. Bare female breasts being normal is only a fantasy that he concocted to justify his position on the breastfeeding issue.

So you’re saying the feelings and emotional health of women who are unable to breastfeed should be ignored because public breastfeeding is legal?

I’m with my boy van delay and it’s always the butt ugly bull dikes that bare their bosom

I agree with a private area, but would you eat dinner in a public restroom? That’s disgusting.

Double post.

i’m not even all that “pro-breastfeeding in public”. in fact, i am torn on the subject but simply tend to tilt toward the freedom of the mother and baby and the baby’s need to eat, over the sensitivities of others. in many cases, feeding the baby in public is a public good as it shuts the baby up.

a key point is that trump should be diplomatic about it and not insult the person for doing something that is a right in U.S. society. were they not indoors in a public judicial building? that is the one place where freedoms rule. is it a public place when you’re in a private meeting? in canada, it is pretty tough to tell a woman to put her top back on and get away with it. this happened recently in my city and the police officer was nearly fired for asking two girls to do so. and those girls were doing it for the sake of it, not the absolute necessity to feed a baby.

if my mom wanted to walk around tits out, i would have a hard time denying her freedom to do so.

btw, i don’t condone leftist protesters shutting down a trump rally but i do believe they have a right to be there. i do think that some of what trump says should not be tolerated by media, like promoting violence towards innocents, but he has the right to assemble. this leftist fascist is a complete misbranding of what i represent. i represent the exact opposite of a leftist fascist. to the extent that the only thing that should not be tolerated is hate and those who are intolerant. the only reason he’s allowed to continue campaigning is that he presents his hate in an indirect and/or soft manner such that the media and public cannot pin him down as a blatant racist or misogynist or whatever else.

Go on.

I’m a big Milton Friedman and as such understand the benefits of free trade, but there have been losers in the short term, say less than fifty years. And those losers never seem to be my socio-economic class. Drive through Spartenburg, SC if you’re not a believer. I’ve read both sides, but I’m not quite sure how the little guy has benefitted. I don’t market in this guy’s ideas, but it’s an interesting perspective nonetheless. http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2013/11/24/what-weve-learned-from-nafta/nafta-lowered-wages-as-it-was-supposed-to-do And I would think Trump will play nice with Canada. You can sleep well.

^ It’s not just manufacturing jobs that free trade is about, it’s lowering prices for consumers and in that regard the American middle class has benefited in spades. Cheap autos, lumber for homes, consumer products. That’s from NAFTA. For every Joe Sixpack who’s job goes to Mexico, thousands benefit from the efficiency that results. And the good Joe Sixpack finds a new job later anyway. Some people lose, but it’s not a zero sum game. That’s econ 101 from David Ricardo days.

Hate and intolerance is still protected here in America. I’m free to hate and not tolerate purple people as long as I don’t threaten or assault them. And all the Trump bashing because he complained about a women wanting to pump milk during a deposition. I can’t recall anyone even eating a sandwich during one. So the question really should be about pumping at a conference table surrounded by people, not feeding. What’s next? “Please continue. I’m a little “tense”. Just going to rub one out.” How does someone like MLA turn this incident into “trump is against women?” A heated deposition certainly is not the place for children or exposed breasts. The attorney claimed she asked for a break to pump. Why is it anybody’s business? How about just a break? Sounds like she has an angle. Would have set most female professionals off as well. Not appropriate. Trump may donate to milk banks for all we know, yet MLA chooses to hate. I wonder where his bias comes from? Has to be more than geography…

No doubt, but some do bare a cost, even Friedman agrees with that. When there’s such a disparity between the standard of living of trade partners, it does appear there is a race to the bottom. Should the race be throttled? We are a welfare state.
