I really want to like Trump, but he is just racist bigot with incredibly bad temper. Please tell me i am wrong, but those are just facts.

The point is: people who espouse others to be racist are usually wrong and projecting that they themselves are the racist.

just because he sometimes hangs out with rich black people doesn’t make him not racist. that’s like saying he’s not a misogynist because he likes women and sleeps with women. he may not be the grand wizard but you don’t have to be the grand wizard to be racist. the fact that he stands for “stop and frisk” makes him racist. we know with 100% certainty that he is a misogynist. so we can just stick with he is a prejudiced against one group of people and probably prejudiced against many groups of people and this is bad enough.
bottom line is: i’m positive many past presidents were racists and misogynists. the key difference between them and trump is that they hid it well. that fact that he has no filter is not what you want in your country’s key representative, when you’re dealing with all types of people from all over the planet.
If somebody discriminates for business purposes, does that make them a racist? I would say no. It means they broke the law. And in this case, they were not found guilty. They paid for it to go away and agreed to make some structural changes.

I’ve got news for you Matt, _ everyone _ is biased towards people in some sort of way. And that is okay. It’s perfectly normal. The key is to be aware of the bias and to value the differences.

There goes MLA again. Stop and Frisk is constitutional according to the law of the land. See Terry vs. Ohio. The lower New York court decided that the way it was implemented in NYC was illegal. Not stop and frisk itself. Her logic was that the ratio of the races stopped didn’t match the general population, therefore discriminatory. That was her only argument. Big difference. I guess the policy was sexist too. But the Judge was removed for bias, and the appeal was abandoned by a new mayor. Any legal scholar would tell you her ruling would have been overturned. The Judge lost the bench partially over the ruling.

Trump has a decades long history of obvious racism, plus just listen to him, totally obvious to anyone with basic sense. Americans love to “make an argument for” things which clearly go against reality. “Well, you can’t actually prove it conclusively, and look he had PR photos with black people to show how much he cares, and maybe all those legal actions were just coincidence, and…”.

i don’t care about constitutional. many things were constitutional until they weren’t. if a policy results in picking on certain races solely because of the colour of their skin or the neighborhood they are in, it is discriminatory. i guarantee you white folks in manhattan were not stopped and frisked. this is why it is racist, and classist. to be honest, it’s probably more classist than racist but those tend to go hand in hand.
