+1. Living that life now. Sucks away your soul.
Well, just got done. I thought it went pretty well. Interviewed with 4 people there, more introductory than anything else, a couple basic technical questions were asked, and I got most of them. Also one brain teaser which I got tripped up on. Trick question. Hate that.
We went through the one company I completely modeled out nuts to bolts and I only hope they weren’t totally laughing on the inside. I did state that I know what I don’t know - and that I know I may look back in a year and realize this work is pretty lousy. They understood and appreciated that I wasn’t trying to BS them like others they interviewed.
So I should know more in 2-3 weeks. Apparently they got like 200 resumes, called 10 to interview for 1 position. I can only assume they called me in because I already had the charter by my name (this is more entry level for CFA candidates).
First of many of these over the next year or two I figure. Good experience none the less.
200 resumes is actually really low.
But admittedly, 80% of resumes sent in aren’t even close so you’re really competing with like 30-50.
u probably hit 90% cut before first round if u take out the overqualified candidates.
Rule of thumb:
100 resumes sent -----> 10 interviews ------> 1 job offer
