A better idea would be to give the kind of gift that has real sentimental value, in which you don’t have to rack your brain for hours trying to find. Why not give a unique personalized anniversary gift of chocolate truffles? You really can’t go wrong. Everyone loves chocolate, but when the box comes with a personalized message and photo, it is that much more special! You can savor the box for years to come in memory of that one special anniversary.
OP, I’ve been married longer than you (probably longer than most on this board) and have two kids. I’m sure someone has mentioned it already but I think the best gift you can give her is time – time together and/or some time for herself. A weekend away if you can pull off the babysitter issue. Or maybe a night out and then giving her a day at the spa. My wife and I might treasure the time issue more than most since we live 1000 miles from our nearest relative. Childcare takes some work for us.
My anniversary is on 6/2. Apart from the obvious ones, another reason my wife HATES the CFA exams.
