Who will take Florida?

yep, my friends, my friend McCain is unstoppable, my friends!

Romney is implying McCain couldn’t handle the economy because he never had a “real job in the private sector” or something along those lines. Fair enough, McCain spent what 20 years in the military or so…and then jumped to Congress. But while McCain was serving in Nam, Romney was sitting in a classroom and on his “mission” in France. What an effing joke. This is the same guy who equated his sons serving on his Presidential campaign to a father’s son who was serving (or perhaps had died, I forget) in Iraq

lol Romney’s speech was garbage. I can’t believe he thanked bush for 6 years of security.

Too bad i am still at work and cant enjoy my regular dosage of Politics, my friends. Actually, i am feeling pretty confident that if McCain will get nominated and if he will take a worthy VP, Reps have a chance

Tim Pawlenty perhaps

lol what is jeb bush up to these days?

I can’t believe kkent’s rant on here. I have been a conservative who is deeply interested in politics for a long time, and I have wholeheartedly supported John McCain since he first announced his candidacy. The man is a true American who fought for this country and was a POW. -He is for every social and fiscal conservative value you think of. -He is the one person who from the beginning of the War in Iraq, didn’t just say he was for it, didn’t say he was against it, he said that if we go in we should send in a lot more troops. If we had followed his strategy from the beginning the war would have been over years ago. -He voted against the Bush tax cuts because he wanted limitations to government spending tied to it. He is the one person, who I have consistently heard speak of the need for fiscal conservatism and small government. I voted for Bush, and him and the republican house let me down in this regard. -I loved in Michigan when McCain stated that there are some jobs in the auto industry that are not coming back, while Romney said that he would fight for every job. McCain may have said that economics is not his strong point, but he clearly knows competitive advantage a hell of a lot better than his opponent. Do you want Romney spending your money subsidizing a failing industry. -And finally, what is wrong with the fact that McCain has reached across the aisle? I don’t mind seeing a little more civility and bipartisanship in our government instead of the usual. McCain is a great man who speaks with truth and conviction, and deserves more respect than was afforded to him here. Romney, while I don’t know as much about him as McCain, seems like a phony and a panderer. I am very happy that McCain won tonight, and I think he will be the next president, and a great one at that.

A group misread that part and thought that it was disruptive to the migrating herds of caribou and porcupines. I started laughing in the middle of the debate as they were discussing huge herd of porcupines heading south for the winter. Most of the world has only a vague grasp of reality.

Well done.

I think the mainstream media is perpetuating this “Conservatives against McCain” movement because they know he has the best shot to take the White House. Save for foxnews, Its pretty obvious the networks are already planning the democratic victory parade route and the last thing they want is for McCain to jump in and halt the American socialist (hillarycare/ hussein osama) revolution in November.

That will be a tight race I dont think hillary has a chance against any candidate including Ron Paul if she runs for the democrats, everyone hates her and she needs the independent vote to win. Despite my democratic leanings I really despise her, she has no self respect to take Bill back, she is lodged in old school style politics and if it wasn’t for her husband no one would even know her name. As for attacks against McCain and Obama’s lack of experience, I dont think its too much of a disability, they both have great leadership ability and can reach across party lines to actually get things done, especially Obama. Ronald Reagan didn’t have much innate ability to run a country, he was an actor, however he was a great leader and he had that charisma that got people on board to get things to happen. A president will always have a gang of technocrats on call to help them manage the country but it takes a great leader with a sense of pragmatism to actually get things done that are going to benefit the country. While I support Obama(not like I count), I wouldn’t be sad to see McCain take the election.
