Why are we getting CFA's?

This thread has been derailed sadly. I guess I need to get the charter myself to really know what will happen.

this thread gets derailed because its just another variation of “CFA v. MBA” and we’ve gone over that 1000x times in the three years i’ve been on the forum.

Hi all. I’m a Mechanical Engineer working for the past 3+ years. I’ve been thinking of switching to finance lately. My ultimate goal is to do MBA in finance. I’ll be taking the GMAT next year. Have some time on my hand and thought why not just go for the CFA in the meantime? So here I’m. Regards, Prashant
