There has been increasing attention on the negotiation side of it lately. NPR recently had a podcast where some MBA program makes all the students go through a negotiation training/simulation and they claim it greatly improves the females starting salary.
And I’m always amazed at some of the very biased views I come across regarding race, gender, etc by individuals. I guess people don’t spend too much time around those who aren’t the same.
That’s an awful cheap shot at a very intelligent man. I I just don’t understand how some people think certain things are above critique. But I guess it’s because I don’t hold anything outside of Microsoft Excel as holy.
Our core included Negotiations class. They tought basics of BATNA and such, some basic simulation of negotations, but it was mostly a game for me. Some students thought i was too mean, but it was all fun and games
