So you’re working and at the same time studying for the CFA exam. What is your daily schedule like? How do you squeeze studying for the CFA into your tight workdays? How long do you get to study?
I try to squeeze in 1.5 - 2 hours at starbucks prior to starting work. I waste too much time in the morning drinking coffee and reading emails so this was a great way to optimize my time but it means waking up early. I average about 5-6 hours of sleep now, but catch up on weekends. Also, I do an hour at lunch. That keeps my evenings free.
After work, I’ll work out for an hour and then study for an hour or 2. On the weekends, I can easily put in 8-12 hours of study time with intermittent breaks. It also helps having every other Friday off!
work from 8:30-9am to 7…after that, if my brain is not leaking out my ears (like today), ill try to squeeze an hour or 2. Weekends i get 3-5 per day…7-10 hours when its crunch time… that got me into band 10 last year…thank god i was in Ibiza and forgot quickly…

I plan on going in July/August.
I am suprised and impressed by the amount of people who can wake up early to read this stuff! I am still groggy by the time I come to work…at 9:30PM!!
Monday - Weds at work by 9AM…home around 6. - Nap 1/2 hour (gotta be fresh) - dinner 1/2 hours - manage ebay sales 1/2 hour - study 3 hours Thurs-Fri Off unless I can squeeze in time at work Weekends: Sat - off usually unless I’m really bored Sun - 5 - 6hours of study right now I take thurs, friday, and sat basically off from studying unless i can squeeze in some time at my desk. My 5 day a week studying starts in Feb, my 6 day a week starts in april and my 7 day a week starts in May.

I plan on going in July/August. Ibiza is like OMFG…i cant fuc.king believe it. Topless, naked girls everywhere, absolutely daft music and food; clubs are not ever worth describing. Its like being on an entirely different planet…if your american, get ready to be surprised…youve seen nothing like it before…in fact no matter where youre from, youve seen nothing like it. It should be obliged by law for young ppl to go once in their life…instead of wasting time on World or warcraft. I mean…just fuc.king go. August is just nuts…i went to Pacha Club…4000ppl…david guetta, akon etc…insanely amazing music…drugs galore… if you go, you must unleash…anything else is a total waste of time… it was life changing for me…and i still cant stop thinking about, 6 months later…i just cant stop fuc.king thinking about it
I am working full-time and also have a wife and four kids to deal with, so I try to squeeze in study time whenever and wherever. That includes at work (I bought access to the CFAI e-books) and the subway (I will buy the Schweser .mp3 files). As long as I can put in some kind of study each day, I consider that progress. Essentially, what it comes down to is trying to study anytime I feel I have a free moment. I envy those who are able to block off time and study on a regular basis.
