Would this be considered a pass?

That sounds right. I got this from a few guys i know, too. But for some reason I just couldnt get the idea out of my head that I have to score atleast 70% in the exam otherwise your in the danger zone! talk about failing twice and getting the obsessive compulsive disorder! lol

And best of luck to you too man. hope, everyone passes on the forum!..of course for everyone on the forum to pass, **** would have to freeze over…if you know what i mean. crying sniff sniff.

lol… yes i do understand… hopefully we all pass.

84 no way can be the cut off at L2 given the LOD of this year.

80 at max, IMO 75+ should be fine this year.

Yeah, I feel like I picked up a lot of points this year by studying for breadth over depth…

Deal Clincher, you are right. its not going to be that high for sure. but given that CFAI has mentioned earlier that they have never failed anyone who scored 70% and above i just wanted to be sure that i pass. atleast i tried making sure of that. with level 2 you cant really be sure if you will pass or not.

you see this is my third attempt at level 2 and i just want this level to be over with…i mean given that I used to be a high achiever in university and considering that all my friends are asking about the result…its getting pretty embarising …lol. blush

Agreed! last year i was scoring pretty high in the heavy weights but due to my lack of practice with the lighter wegihts i would never exceed 65% on the mocks! i mean no matter how hard i tried! it just wouldnt go beyond that. period.

this year when i focused on all ten areas my score jumped up substatnially! i would score some where around 67.5% when i messed up! its just amazing how being well rounded pays.

another thing is that repeaters have an edge over first timers and if anyone over here has flunked level 2 last year or fails this year (god forbid) i recommend they dont stop trying cause they are getting closer to success for sure!

The above quote was posted on 6/27/16. Pass??? You haven’t even taken level I. Try actually taking the exams first littlepeter13 and then come post on AF.

From a 64 in this forum, to a 69 in the other forum - definite improvement.

You’ll be right on the borderline of pass/fail, best of luck on your level II results!

millimeterpeter13 may be turning into centimeterpeter13 afterall

don’t hurt his feelings too much because then he will ask AF to lock this thread.

Again, the exam is broken down to 120 questions in both AM and PM this is the average of both if you are able to comprehend that. Not sure if you have the capabilities to take an arithmetic average to ease computation though

Probably don’t, but I do have reading comprehension capabilities and memory to know you’re full of it. I am not sure why you are now trying to say that you’re only a Level I candidate - when you spent time in the Level II and III forums immediately after the exam. Also, If i recall correctly - Level I didn’t have any item sets…

The exam indeed had some tricks, across every topic. I can say that out of 6 questions per item set, i knew how to answer 3-4 correctly and confident about them, however had to guess around 1-2 questions almost across every item set. so my averge score per item set is around 4.

However, there were item sets where i was clueless on - 1 from Financial Reporting and Analysis where I had to guess 5 out of the 6 questions!! and Equity in the afternoon had to purely guess on 3 questions in that item set!! So this is getting a bit scary.

in the AM, had to guess on 3 derivatives and 3 fixed income questions!

As I said that was posted by a colleague who wanted to know their exam performance as a L2 candidate. This has caused a lot of confusion between who posted what and for this reason I have now stopped other access to this account. I do apologize for the confusion and whether you would like to believe me or not is your choice, the AF admin has access to this info and can clearly see who posted what and from which ip address. I will not be responding any further

M_Mitchell08 - you are being too hard on him and hurting his fragile bones. Now he is going to get AF to lock this thread. NO!!!

What an embarrassment millimeterpeter13. Actually sit for an exam and get on our level - otherwise stay off of AF with your nonsense.

You are a pathological liar millimeterpeter13. You have never sat for an exam nor do you intend to. You signed up for AF 2 weeks ago, after all the exams had been administered. Leave these forums to those who care to help their fellow candidates and not berate them. Again I reference your post from earlier this morning:

What a joke.

My guess is he actually did take the L2 exam but is now terrified of getting PCP’d because of all the junk he was spewing over the past few weeks regarding the emails from CFAI indicating that a candidate passed.

At least he’ll stop now, and other people will stop falling for his trolling.

I wonder if AF has copies of his posts before he edited them - you know the ones where he was putting specific questions out there.
