Universities have strengths in different disciplines. For instance, Yale Law is usually a clear #1. Princeton is great for undergrad, but has no MBA program. UCSF is decent, but UCSF Med school is always pretty high in rankings. MIT is top for MFin, UCB Law is a top Law school for Intellectual Property, and so on… Just decide your path first and then look at the schools in the field you’re interested in pursuing. The rankings will always differ by industry/focus.
