Your lowest possible score

I scored 61% on the CFAI Mock, and I’m certain I did two to three questions better on the real exam. A lucky guess or two will probably get me to 64%. I like my chances of scoring over 60% with an absolute min. of 56%.

As an Asian in an Asian country, I think I have pretty good chance getting >70

I did all topic tests, the lowest were ethics & fixed income 67%, highest was derivatives at 78%

Then I did all mocks I can access: 6 of schweser, 1 of CFAI. No single one less than 70%. Single AM/PM section may be 40/60, but combine both AM & PM, the lowest was 70%.

Then I processed to previous years CFAI mocks, to find out they are all vignettes I had done on topic tests. Re-doing the vignettes did not raise my score, though. The 1st topic test on derivatives I scored 3 out of 6 on 1st attempt. Re-do it on 2015 CFAI mock, still 3.

It’s highly improbable that I got less than a 7%.

^Boy, did you miss a rear zero?

This is almost exactly what I was calculated post-exam. A band 9 or 10 on the low end, but also a good shot at passing. I have to imagine a lot of candidates end up in this range.

Nope - I’m nodding to the fact that it’s statistically possible I got less than 7% right.

I’m somewhat optimistic I passed with a strong AM and a “meh” PM for maybe a 65-70% overall, but my lowest possible score would be much lower than my best guess.

This likely describes my situation too… but given my high 60s mocks and how easy the AM was, I inflated my guess above the 7 watermark.

i am so nervous right now… this is such a brutal week of anticipation. i just try to tell myself i passed it until they tell me otherwise.

@assurgent I think if you scored between 55% and 65% on mocks you have a good chance. Throw in a couple lucky guesses on the AM and PM sections and you’re right there. Hang in there…
