Birthers are not rational folks, so reason does not apply. That being said, I have no idea if Cruz supporters were Obama birthers or not. His eligibility clearly will not be questioned by democrats. I suspect democrats would love for him to win the GOP nomination because he has zero chance in the general regardless of who the dems nominate.
