best restaurants by ethnicity in NYC

For Indian, try out Baluchi’s on Queens Boulevard. It’s quite good, we go there a lot.

Also, for Italian Sirio at the Pierre on 5th Ave is pretty good too. Try it out!

I know, i’ve only been twice but both times were on business and I didn’t have much time alone to explore. The gf wants us to go at some point because she has never been, hopefully we’ll be able to try out some of these joints.

Reminds me of Lutz from 30 Rock when it was his turn to pick where they would get lunch. He would always choose subway

I tried this place this weekend at the suggestion of this thread. Sat down next to two Russians. Igor? I really liked it btw. The music is fun and the food is good.

I had the best meal a year or so ago somewhere in Little Brazil and have completely forgotten the name of it. I love a good caipirinha.

Japanese izakaya: Yakitori Tori Shin

no indian/pakistani restaurants in the list? I heard americans love this continent’s food

for Venezuelan - Caracas in east village. Casual, not too expensive, great arepas

It’s a damn shame that people come to NYC and eat this crap. I walk by Carlo’s Bakery every day in Hoboken. You would be amazed at the line to get inside some days. There is another Italian bakery a few blocks up that provides the exact same stuff and has been in town just as long.

3 years ago i went to johns pizzeria in midtown. the pizza was the worst i have ever had. even the dollar slice is much better. the place was full of suckers (tourists). it is a shame tourists get trapped in times square

LOOK AT THAT LIGHT! LETS GO THERE

looks like all the asian joints are off the list

That place sounds like a blast to work at…

I know theres a million good Italian places, if youre in Midtown East il vagabondo is excellent. Has a bocce court in there too.

I’ve been to il vagabondo. Used to be a speakeasy next door, kind of touristy though

My wife’s grandparents met there and they have been going for 40 years so its kind of a homecoming for them. The same bartender has been there since they met. Thus, I’ve been indoctrinated and the food really is quite good.

Luke’s Lobster … 'murica!!

If you see a twenty something year old white guy in the downtown location at lunch time reading science fiction you’ve found me.

if anyone interested
