Obama is not even close to being a BSD. There have only been 2 US presidents in the past 50 years who were BSD’s: Reagan and Clinton.
Obama is influential for sure. However, he is the President because all the pieces fell into place in a convenient manner. He was a fresh face chosen from a political circus of strangely unappealing alternatives in a year where voters were fed up with GW Bush. I am not discounting Obama’s monumental life achievement, but in a different lottery, his position would not be the same.
Consider Putin on the other hand. How does a former KGB agent become the President (perhaps for life) of Russia, a country rife with corruption, entrenched interests and criminal influence at high levels of society?He must have had to claw, fight and even murder his way to the top. He can unilaterally decide to imprison or erase Russian citizens from existence. If the Russian gymnast girl decides to dump him, she would probably “disappear” soon afterwards. Of all world leaders, he is the one I would least want to meet in a dark alley.

If you took Obama brain and everything, and placed him into a young white man. guarantee he wouldn’t have gotten the same reception.
I’m not a supporter whatsoever but he leads the free world. Putin, walks around with a chip on his shoulder and is certainly compensating for somethign whereas Obama is above that level. He walks around with an innate confidence, boarderline smugness.
Again, i’m going to make the reference to 90s rap. Putin is like pdiddy, and russian is biggie. A lot of talent but the manager is always ruining their potential by taking the spot light. I think Obama is very clearly a BSD, he is an unusually gifted person who has risen to the very top with pretty much force of will and devastating charisma. There are not many people like that in the world. Plus, just look at who his competition has been - wet noodles like Romney and McCain.

I’m not sure Obama is really leader of the free world anymore. The EU is far more influential over the past couple years. Hell, Francois Hollande, some loser absolutely non-BSD socialist has lead more military action than Obama in the past two years. Not to mention pretty much all of Obama’s interventions have been absolute failures while Putin has seized new territory. Obama is losing Iraq and has been forced to come cap in hand to Syria and Iran. Score 1 Putin.
Obama isn’t a BSD because he doesn’t even have defacto control of the democratic party. He is publicly questioned on a daily basis by senior members of the party. Reagan and Clinton were rarely publicly questioned by members of their own party. I’m sure there were disagreements behind closed doors, but once either of them took a public position the rest of their party lined up behind them. Obama is also a pariah for democrats up for re-election this year. Obama was a BSD early in his term, but he’s lost it just as GWB did.
Putin is a BSD because he does what he wants, when he wants, and dares everyone else to stop him. Even when there are consequences for his actions, i.e. economic sanctions, he still tells everyone to just fuk off.
But how much of this is because these Democrats are trying to gain recognition for the 2016 races?
