I’m still looking for a partner to start a fund. Event-driven, i.e., merger arb, spinoffs, activist situations, etc. I’ve been putting track record together since September 2008 and it’s very good (up around 11% with no monthly drawdowns). Anyone interested?

Q: Start up level of capital, but you are looking at activist situations, which usually requires you to hold a good amt of shares to throw your weight around. So how do you plan to execute that, or are you just piggybacking off someone like Bill Ackman’s holdings or something?

Too much money to be made in other stuff and why be long an activist situation in such a crappy market? And obviously capital limitations, though that’s a small, small part of it.
