Twitter CFA Program

Just received this through Twitter:

"CFA Program ‏@CFAProgram

June 2015 Candidates: Multiple-choice answer sheets are almost graded. Level III exams are being prepped for the two-week grading process!"

is this real life? I was under the impression that the results took roughly 8 weeks to be released

Wish we knew where we stood based on raw multiple choice answers sooner. The candidates subject to MPS would still be up in the air but at least the candidates who did well enough to pass with raw score could move on to studying L2 materials. Right now I am continuing to review L1 and I feel like its wasting roughly 2 months of time I could be prepping to take L2 in December. Instead I will have to wait until next June most likely to write L2, if I find out that I passed L1 at the end of July. Hope someone from CFAI reads and considers this…

There’s no L2 in Dec, dude.

are L2 and L3 given only once a year? I did not know that

am i the only one who didnt know this…

Nope.

Khaleel (in my avatar), also didn’t know this.

brutal. how did i not know this…throws off my schedule

Haha, I wouldn’t study anything until results come out.

Amazing to see someone in 2015 not know that L2 and L3 are only taken once a year in june. Reminds me of the April fool’s prank from 300 Hours that some folks fell for here.

meh. im reviewing L1 flascards and qbank. ill finish entire qbank by the time results are released then know where im headed

Not amazing at all. If L1 is given 2x/year, a reasonable assumption would be that L2 and L3 were too. But that’s a reasonable assumption!!! Not the reality that CFAI limits the number of Chart Holders by giving L2/L3 1x/year.

I don’t know if it’s amazing, but it’s also reasonable to assume that people look into and understand the program’s timeline before they register for the exam. wink
