I will be taking L1 in June '08 and have a question. Are those max points (240 total) always divided up in those 9 sections in the same max total points (ie: is FSA always 68)?

It changes YoY up to investment professional standards. Questions by themes inside sections are not predicted at all. As I remeber there were no any questions for Macro

wow…i put my results into the site, and they say my pass/fail result doesn’t reflect my scores…i guess the CFAI has its own specific marking criteria aside from what the site predicts…

dnoyelles, You are right. What statistics does is just a rough idea. The purpose of 40/60/80 rule calculator is saving time for those to compare scores. It was developed when I was a CFA candidate.
