I actually wrote very little in the morning, was done within an hour and a half.
My belief is that in these exams being brief and clear can actually get you more points than going on at length. Examiners only really want to see a few key words, so putting them in bullet points and with circles will help them tick them off and move on, whereas putting in more stuff has a chance of either making them look at it more closely to find a minor error, or will make them skim-read and potentially miss one of your points (especially since my handwriting is absolutely terrible). So putting in more detail just to be safe can actually backfire (in my mind).
And as an added benefit that gave me the time to re-check everything 20 times.
Afternoon was harder and took longer, but at least there you benefit from the educated guess boost.
Congrats! Happy to see this. Your creative stories on rahul roy back on the L2 forum in '14 really helped deal with the stress of the last few weeks of prep. Congrats and thanks!
Passed on first attempt. I thought I had spoiled the AM and crushed the PM, but my results were kind of evenly balanced.
AM: My feeling was that if I’d have failed, it’d have been the morning since majority of my answers were very short and I bungled some of the Individual Portfolio stuff.
PM: I thought I had done really well on it but was a bit disappointed with my PM performance. End of the day a “pass” is a “pass” and I’m just grateful to be done with the exams. To folks repeating … DON’T lose hope and DO come back STRONGER. Level 2 took my 4 tries.
