Yes, it seems that this car does offer a big V8 engine, which is becoming increasingly less common nowadays outside of “super cars”.
Anyway, GM took a big risk with this car. I hope they are rewarded.

Sports car sales are decreasing in general. Instead of just doing a refresh of Corvette, they made a whole new type of car.

Will non Corvette sports car guys buy this car? Presumably, this is the point of all the design changes. However, people who buy something like Porsche 911 are pretty brand conscious.
I’ve been nosey and looking at the corvette forums, seems like a lot of people love it, but a few people are saying their c7 is much better looking (lol!), that no manual = no deal. Resale values will get destroyed, imo
