Anyone feeling the 70’s to 80’s vibe at the conference? It’s a notch too conservative, grey and staid.
Some examples:
-
The elevator music piped in between speakers.
-
The giant Grandma’s house sofas the panel sat on during one session.
-
The ill fitting and ill matching suits worn by some of the commentators.
-
The dry ceremonial platitudes.
I suppose I expected a little more of the ‘high finance’ stereotypes - shiny edges, tailored suits, minimalism, style and a little zam! I guess that’s all saved for the hedge fund industry, the Davos forums’ and my overly active imagination.
It might explain the choice of logo though.
Am I the only one?
