Do you get a mail once the status changes? Like from Work Experience Review to Under Review - Society ?
I submitted just yesterday, but cant stop myself from checking the status 4 times a day.
Got an Approved work experience status a few days ago. Now I see Under Review Society - 29 days. Does it really take that long or I may get that earlier? thank you
I’ve found the problem to be that most local societies take off for the month of August and do not get to the new applicants until their next board meeting in September. If your local society does not list their board meeting, you can email them - I did. From my understanding, the local society has 30 days to approve/deny your membership and after those 30 days, if they don’t take any action, your application moves on without them. However, it’s been 30 days for my local society and my application still say under review, maybe it just takes a day to refresh. It’s a bummer that after all the frustration we go through to pass the exams, the last step is waiting on paperwork to clear during vacation season.
They will be doing the Business card printing in 2 weeks time at work for all that have run out or changed title etc. I am considering to rescind my application to the society and just keep the cfai one open. I would guess this to speed up things? I would hate to pass on my business card for the next couple of months without the three letters that I worked so hard for.
I got my activate your membership mail in 3 days! Looks like the Indian Society auto approves it.
Strangely dint get any mail about the charter, just can can now see CFA next to my name on CFAI website
Got my work experience approved in 1 day by both the CFA Institute and IAIP(CFA Society,India).That’s pretty fast and smooth.
Activated membership today.Officially a charterholder now.
am in indonesia. it took about 6 days from submission to ‘activate your CFA Institute membership’
I applied for membership on 08/17/2016 and got my work experiences approved by CFAI less than 24 hours. Since then it was under local society review. It’s obnoxious that at the very last of this great endeavor we have to deal with such a painful paperwork. I’m with HKSFA.
Decision Days Remaining: 25
Tomorrow my local society will have 3 days remaining. When they inevitably don’t approve it on time what can I expect on timing after that?
My local society blamed it on “access issues” and someone being on vacation and were supposedly going to get it done last week. Of course it didn’t happen.
