from my personal experience…
it doesnt matter how little you write, just read what you write from the perspective of someone who knows nothing about what it is that you do…flesh it out enough for someone to understand, so bullet point is fine, just make it complete…
it took less than a full day for my work approval

It took me about two or three days for CFA Institute to approve my work experience. But it’s been nearly 20 days and my Society has yet to approve my application.
Are you write it in a detailed essay form?
Damn, I didn’t elaborate on my job description. I just selected the relevant “job category” and then in job description i put “investment banking analyst” for a 12 month job and “credit research analyst” for my current 56 month job.
My references Im assuming noted in the reference form that my work experience is appropriate…

No, I used bullet points. Maybe three or four for each job I’ve had. Pretty much a copy / paste from my resume.
I used copy paste bullet points from my last two job descriptions. Within 24 hours of I submitting, both CFA institute and the local CFA Emirates society approves, I paid the dues and was a regular member.

i applied for regular membership Sunday afternoon (uae time), yesterday….my current application dashboard shows blank under decisions days remaining…however my cfa institute application shows approved months equal to my submitted months…when I go and click on the link of application it shows me break up of each job months with approved status right next to each job (all approved)…however my application status still shows work experience under review…
any idea how come all my submitted months shows approved but overall application status still shows under review?

For the Guys in UAE, how are the prospects there for Charterholders? I’m currently based in Canada and thinking of making a move to greener pastuers… I have 10 + years experience in a custodial bank. What sort of compensation can i expect, any thoughts??
I applied today morning 11 AM UAE time and by 10 PM got a mail from CFAI to activate my membership…paid my dues and was instantly added to the members directory with CFA next to my name…that was amazingly quick…a nice way to end a long journey…

Mine updated from showing approved work months and status “review work experience” to “local society review” this morning
just submit my application…
Same here, the institute has approved the months, but the society is still reviewing. kind of sucks - this has been like this for a few days now.
