Address Change

I recently moved to a new location for residency. I was wondering if it’s truly necessary to inform my employer about my location change. The reason I asked is that I moved in December and everything is a zoo at our firm towards the end of the year. If possible, I would like to tell them next year when there’s no end-of-the-year zoo that we are currently in the midst of. Everyone in my division knows that I changed address, it’s just that formally I haven’t done so. Are there tax concerns that I should be aware of it, if I do decide to tell them next year rather than in December?

tell them now. then they can ignore the notice or not.
