Admission-government document

I have a problem, because I lost my government document. Does anyone know if I can bring my passport to the exam? Their website says that we can bring government document or passport, however my admission ticket says to bring government document. Do you have any suggestions?

Call them and explain your situation. They prefer passports anyway. Tell them to email you a new ticket with your passport mentioned as the doc. Good luck…

I’m pretty sure a passport or a driver’s license is what they mean by government issued document. It just has to have your photo on it. Out of sheer curiosity, what is the “government document” that you lost?

If you registered at all in 2011, you got to have an international passport. If you registered before 2011, you can have a government issued ID or a passport.

Thanks!

my ID info are not mentionned in my admission ticket. Are you sure there is smthg clearly written like that in your admission ticket ? I mean the number, just mention that i have to bring a governmt ID. Anyway a passport is a government document, so…

It just says to bring government ID, so I wasn’t sure if passport suffices, but I checked with them and it shouldn’t be a problem. Thanks for concern and good luck!

If you registered after January 1, 2011, you HAVE to bring your passport book to the exam because they won’t admit you to the exam unless (a) you have your passport and (b) it matches the online records. Just read here: http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprogram/process/Pages/cfa_program_id_policy_change.aspx "Required to register: Before 1 January 2011: Current government-issued photo ID On or after 1 January 2011: Valid international travel passport "The passport you present on exam day must bear the same name, date of birth, passport number, and country of issuance you used to register. If your passport will expire before you sit for the exam, you may still use it to register, but be sure to renew it before the exam and update your account with the new information. How to update the passport information in your account (PDF). “On exam day, if your name, date of birth, passport number, and country of issuance on your passport do not match our records, you will not be admitted to the testing center and you will forfeit your registration fee.”
