Advice on how to start level 2

Hi I would love to hear everyones insights and struggles when they took level 2 this summer.

What did you think you did was right?

What provider you think did a solid job?

What do you think you guys could have improved on during your studying?

How many hours did you guys put in a week?

I already know level 1 is a baby dragon compared to the beastly dragon that is level 2. I just want some insight on your experiences so I could hopefully come up with a solid level 2 study plan.

I already plan to go through the books before december and to do it in a way a write notes about each LOS.

Then just keep doing the EOCS and mocks and review till the exam.

And I know I got to practice…I ain’t no allen iverson…“practice we talkin about practice”

Anyways, any insight or experience would be great.

Thanks.

Advice

  1. the competitiion is much tougher than level 1 so you will need a stronger effort to pass.

  2. I used Schweser and liked it. The quiz bank is great for reinforcing concepts. Material is concise and compact.

  3. I averaged 2-3 hours weekdays and then one full afternoon each weekend, Started mid Jan.

  4. mock exams. I recommend one right after the first reading, so you know where to allocate more time on a second targeted reading. Then probably each two weeks until the exam.

  5. the last month should be entirely devoted to application. do tons of problem sets and review material where you are weak only.

Read each chapter 3 times. Once to get a basic grasp, twice in excruciating detail, and third to cover any bases you missed.
