Hey guys - here is the prize distribution for this year’s prize pool. First place – 60% ($300) Second place – 25% ($125) Third place – 10% ($50) Highest scoring team at end of regular season (before playoffs) – 5% ($25) Also, a couple of you proposed that the last place team pays an extra fee in order to encourage people to participate for the whole season – let’s just say this amount is $25. Anyone interested in this? If we get a majority vote, then we can move forward with the $25 penalty for the last place team. Personally, I’d support this because it would be more likely to encourage active participation in the league, and secondly $25 is a small penalty for a piece of sh!t team. That’s pretty nominal compared to the price you’d have to pay in real life for being a loser. I guess the trash talking begins now…

Paying $50 to enter a league should be an incentive to actively participate and if someone doesn’t care about losing $50 then so be it.
^ Agree with ZeroBonus. Plus, how do you even enforce that? If you think of last year’s league, the players in the bottom of the standings stopped caring about their team towards the end of the season, and I haven’t even seen any posts from them on AF (maybe out of shame).
All right, that sounds good. Yeah, I agree that finishing last place in the AF league in and of itself is a career-limiting move anyway. We’ll just stick with the prize structure listed above then.
Agree $50 is incentive to participate. Numi is going down quicker than a $2 hooker in week 1.
Me voting for penalizing the last place finisher is a bit like a non-smoker voting to raise cigarette taxes.
