After Quant; Econ or Portfolio Management?

Just finished off the Quant stuff in the CFAI books and looking to start my next study session. I’m not really sure where to go from here, obviously the books put you in Economics but would it be wise to go to Portfolio Management? I know if I went straight from Quant to Portfolio Mangement in studying for Level I then I would’ve saved some time in Portfolio Management because I had go back and refresh myself on the Quant stuff. I’m just curious how others are approaching it or if some other study area makes more sense? What makes the most sense?

do econ before PM if you wish to. econ has a lot of the foreign exchange related stuff, which is an oft repeating theme throughout level II.
