The CAIA is far more useful than the CFA if you work with a lot of private equity, hedge funds and derivatives. Speaking from experience, many times in those spaces people don’t have the time to train someone on all relevenat issues. So, I found it quite useful, however, I am in the small minority for which this is a significant issue.

But how is the CAIA not a subset of the CFA curriculumn? I looked through the syllibus, and it seems to cover very little material that the CFA program does not.
