28, 3/3 in 18 months * Dec 06 - L1 * Jun 07 - L2 * Jun 08 - L3 I think this is a common combination now as I can see so many ppl are doing it the same way.
L1 dec 07 L2 jun 08 will give L3 a crack in Jun 09, I’m 25.
I totally agree with CFA Institute that the CFA charter does not necessarily imply competency/superiority in one’s work. Indeed, my friend who has been working for one of the top investment banks failed CFA level 3 three times, gave up the exam, and joined my firm. He is obviously doing much better than those who have the CFA paper and who created such things as CDO, subprime mortgages, etc.
